Logo Design Process

Design Process for gorgeous custom logos, custom branding, and website design for creative business professionals and small business owners.

 

1. INITIAL CONSULTATION

Like any relationship, it all starts with a first date to make sure the sparks fly! I will ask you some questions regarding your business, vision, and goals for your brand and/or web design, as well as allow you to ask any questions to me. This step will give us both a chance to get to know one another and make sure we are a good fit throughout the design process.

We’ll review your project scope as well as a timeline and pricing so that we can make sure everyone’s on the same page. Once we’ve agreed to work together – your project is placed in my queue.

2. WHAT’S YOUR STYLE – HOMEWORK

Since there is typically a wait time between this step and the next, I give you homework to prepare for our upcoming project.

I’ll send you a questionnaire to complete that will help me figure out the brand style you’re seeking. We’ll review typography, colors, and imagery that you feel is in line with your ideal brand aesthetic. This questionnaire will provide valuable information for me as I move through your brand process. I also ask you to create a detailed Pinterest board, full of branding inspiration (it can be anything from colors to patterns, outfits, interiors, etc.)

3. BEGINNING THE PROCESS

This is where the party starts! I’ll review your branding questionnaire, along with your inspiration board. The more info submitted to me, the better to make sure I am heading in the right direction.

This next phase is all about merging together the perfect mixture of aesthetics for your brand. You will receive brand-inspired color palettes along with typography. Once this is approved by you, we begin the design process.

 

4. LOGO CONCEPTS

My FAVORITE part of the design process – is your design mockups! once the inspiration phase is approved, please allow 4-5 business days for me to work on your initial logo designs. From here you’ll choose the winner. Depending on your package,
2-3 revisions are included.

5. PREPPING FILES

Once we’ve finalized your main logo, I will start prepping the final files. I will send over a convenient link to all of your zipped-up logo files.

6. ADDITIONAL DESIGNS + ADD-ONS 

If you’re doing a website, branding suite, or other designs with me as well (and you totally should), this is the point I now take your new brand and continue it throughout your print and social page design (business card, business letterhead/notecard, stamp or stickers, Facebook) to complete your seamless new look. You’ll have one round of revisions included, anything beyond that will be billed at a standard hourly rate of $95/hour.

7. POP THE BUBBLY

Release your amazing new brand into the world. I do publish quite a few projects each year to my blog. I also post all my projects to various social media sites as well, to help drive traffic, and hopefully referrals, to your site!
